Fitch Ratings has today announced that Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (publ) (“SBB”) has been assigned a BB rating with positive outlook. This is SBB’s second public rating from a leading credit rating agency with a BB rating following the BB rating with stable outlook SBB was assigned by S&P in January 2018.

“We are proud that an additional credit rating institute gives us a strong rating. This creates opportunities for further reduced funding costs, strengthened financial position and takes us one step closer to an Investment Grade rating,” says Ilija Batljan, CEO and Founder of Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB.

Fitch highlights in its rating SBB’s stable revenue and high-qualitive low-risk portfolio consisting of Swedish rental residentials and Nordic community service properties, where municipalities or the state ultimately guarantee the tenants. The positive outlook reflects that SBB is on its way to an Investment Grade rating.
