Morphic Technologies subsidiary, Cell Impact, has received a prototype order from a large Asian laptop manufacturer. The order is for fuel cell flow-plates for laptop computers. Today’s flow-plates are produced using a method considerably more expensive than the solution offered by Cell Impact.

”This is the third order we’ve received in a short period of time relating to fuel cells for laptop computers. We predict that the portable electronics sector will experience the first, quick market introduction. We have been consistent and persistent in our marketing strategy in Europe, North America and Asia and it has paid off. We’re experiencing good development within all three fuel cell application areas: mobile electronics, stationary systems and vehicles”, says Martin Valfridsson, CEO of Cell Impact AB.

Delivery of the prototypes is expected in July. The client will begin to distribute their product to customers during the current financial year.
