On 29 January 2018 Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (publ) (”SBB”) will issue SEK 750 million three-year senior unsecured notes in the Nordic bond market.
The notes carry a floating interest rate of Stibor 3m + 390 basis points and have a final maturity date of 29 January 2021. The notes are issued under the framework amount of SEK 1,000 million. SBB intends to list the notes on Nasdaq Stockholm.
The use of proceeds will be deployed towards general corporate purposes, including financing of acquisitions, and refinancing of existing debt maturing in June 2018.
“As a result of the well oversubscribed issue we further broaden our Nordic investor base with new investors from Norway and Finland, and at the same time we are pleased with the renewed confidence shown by many of our existing institutional investors. The issue results in substantially lower financing costs since the new notes are issued with considerably lower interest rate (more than 235 basis points) compared to the SEK 600 million senior unsecured note maturing in June 2018 and our Norwegian note of NOK 185 million maturing in October 2018. On a yearly basis this results in cost savings of about SEK 22 million. Moreover, if we take into account as comparison cost of our SEK 1,500 million note maturing in April 2020, the total annual cost savings starting April 2020 may be as high as SEK 52 million” Ilija Batljan, CEO and founder of Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB, comments.
DNB and Nordea are joint financial advisors on the issue.
