The property has been developed under its own auspices by Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (“SBB”), from ground parking to a modern and flexible office building that meets the City of Västerås’ desire for an activity-based approach in co-located premises. As from February, approximately 400 employees will gather in the newly built building on Sigurdsgatan, which together will create One Social Service. An attractive place for commitment, flexibility and cooperation.

"I am very much looking forward to this building now being completed and that it is specially adapted for our business," says Ann-Louise Molin Östling (S), Chair of the Individual and Family Committee, City of Västerås.

Being able to meet high demands for good design and functionality, a customer-oriented reception and a sustainable building has been honoring and rewarding. When the building is now completed, SBB has also certified the building according to Miljöbyggnad Silver, installed a solar cell system of 80 kW which is expected to reduce SBB:s electricity consumption by 59,000 kWh / year, which means that SBB will largely be self-sufficient in property electricity. SBB can also load balance the energy and largely secure renewable electricity to SBB:s charging posts.

"We are extremely happy and proud that from the development of our own land to construction we now finally see the Social Services building inaugurated. This has been a fantastic collaboration with the City of Västerås and NCC. We now have a sustainable property with its own energy supply that is environmentally classified according to Miljöbyggnad Silver ready,”says Ilija Batljan, CEO and Founder, Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB.
