Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (publ) (“SBB”) today completed its previously announced sale of 1.16% of SBB EduCo AB (“EduCo”) to Brookfield for approximately SEK 242 million. EduCo will repay part of its inter-company loan from SBB, resulting in SBB receiving approximately SEK 8 billion in cash.
SBB works purposefully to optimise the conditions in its business areas. The strategic co-operation with Brookfield strengthens the opportunities for long-term value creation in the Education business area. The transaction contributes to strengthen SBB’s financial position.
