SSM’s joint venture company Studentbacken has gained a land allocation to develop 100 student housing units in Bromma. The allocation (part of property Åkeshov 1:1) is attractively located near the Brommaplan communication hub and is part of the program to develop central Bromma.

The student housing will be comprised of rental units and occupation is expected in 2021.

– This land allocation near Brommaplan means that we can offer Stockholm’s students space-efficient rental units, which today’s students really need, says Mattias Roos, President & CEO of SSM.

-It’s great that Studentbacken has gained its first land allocation in the City of Stockholm and that we’ll be able to contribute to meeting the huge need for student housing in the city, says Staffan Sälg, President of Studentbacken.

Following the acquisition, SSM will have approximately 7,000 building rights in the planning or production phase.
