Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (publ) (“SBB”) has acquired a building right from the Municipality of Skellefteå. Through the acquisition, SBB increases the volume of ongoing production and builds 180 climate-smart homes in Skelleftehamn.
SBB aims to be climate positive by 2030. The homes are built with an energy use that corresponds to half the requirement in the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning's building regulations (BBR).
The homes will be built in Skelleftehamn and will be divided between one to three rooms plus a kitchen. Occupancy is estimated for 2024.
"The Municipality of Skellefteå is at the forefront and through the good cooperation with the Municipality, conditions have been created so that SBB can contribute to solving the lack of social infrastructure due to the strong expansion in the Municipality," says Erik Hävermark, Head of Project Development, Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden ABBB.
A construction contract has been signed with NCC.
