Morphic’s subsidiary Finshyttan Hydro Power AB has received a strategic order from GE Energy for the renovation and conversion of a hydroelectric turbine at the Letsi hydroelectric power plant. The order is worth SEK 2.2 million.
The order is for renovation and conversion of one of the three turbines at the Letsi plant on the Luleälven river. The project will start immediately and continue until week 51.
“We are one of Sweden’s leading providers of renovation, upgrading and servicing of hydroelectric power stations. Our clients include Fortum, E.on and Vattenfall, and we are of course very pleased to now add GE to that list”, Håkan Örtqvist, Finshyttan Hydro Power’s Managing Director, says.
Hydroelectric power is the primary source of energy in Sweden, accounting for more than 40 percent of electrical production. Sweden is currently undergoing a process of renovating and modernizing hydroelectric power stations to increase production.
